Good-Bye Winter.....

Since I live in upstate, NY it's hard to take picture outside of my outfits because it's usually FREEZING COLD!!! However I took some pics a couple of month's ago but never got the time to post them. I decided to break them into two separate outfit posts and one haul post. With spring on the way and the fact that I got a new camera (Canon 7D :D), I promise to start posting more outfits looks!

Jersey Shore

This weekend, my family and I went to the Jersey Shore. Even though I lived in NY for almost all my life, I've never been here. It's actually really nice, from the boardwalk to the mini carnival to the food! We had a blast! We also passed by the Shore Store and the house from MTV's Jersey Shore, which was pretty cool. I got a T-Shirt made from Danny himself! Anyways, I hope everyone had a terrific Memorial Day weekend!

Blazers and Flares

Hey everyone, so just to give you all an update I'm safe and sound! The hurricane was pretty intense, but it didn't do much damage to my area. The only thing is, most highways are blocked off because of flooding, fallen trees and mud slides so that means I'm stuck upstate with my camera being in the city! I know bummer right! Anywhoz I took pics of my outfit that I wore last week to work, but never had time to post it up! Work has been hectic already, but I am dedicated to this blog and will try my best to update it as much as possible!

P.S: This is prob the first time in 6 years I'm wearing flared jeans! I was totally dedicated to skinnys, but since the trend resurface I though what the heck! Let me know if you went back into your fashion vault to rock some flares!

I'm back!

First of all I want to apologize for the lack of post I had this month. It's been so hectic, now that I'm finally working. I love my job, but it's been a little difficult trying to learn and adapt to the position. On a brighter note, it's the fashion industry so I get to wear whatever I want (with some limitations, my outfits has to be decent of course!) Anyways, sorry for looking so tired! After working all day, I just don't look as fresh as I do in the mornings.

Jumping into Fall

Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. I recently found a job, so I've been extremely busy. I also work long hours, so there isn't much time to take pics of my outfit before the sun sets! However I managed to squeeze a photo opt in today. It rained a little in the morning, making the weather very cool and fall like. I wore something very casual today because of the rainy weather. I'll try to do some post with my official work attire. I also am going to do a huge haul this weekend, so look out for that!

All Hail Mcqueen

What I'm Wearing: Red thrifted blazer, white Michael Kors top, black Forever21 jeans, navy blue Charlotte Russe purse and gold Michael Kors watch.
I got to visit the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the MET in NYC. It was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had! Couple years ago I had the opportunity to visit the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit in Paris, it was amazing but the McQueen exhibit was far more exciting! His dark designs and outrages theatrics on the runway made the exhibit very intriguing.

I went on the last day, so the lines were super crazy! However, it was totally worth it. Not only did I get to experience something great in Fashion History, but my night was complete upon the meeting of someone oh so profound in the fashion world. At the end of the exhibit, my BF purchased the exhibition book for me, which was a nice gesture since he did wait over 3 hours in line with me and spent almost $50 on the book! At the counter I was told that there was a book signing later on for ever one who purchased it. I was contemplating whether I wanted to wait another 2 hours to get my book signed, when I found out who was signing it. The book was being signed by the curator of the exhibit and none other than the Queen of Fashion herself, Anna Wintour! OMG, all I can say was meeting her was a nerve wrecking and thrilling experience! I was one of the first ones to meet her, so I got to have a mini convo with her which consisted of me gushing about the honorable meeting and she kindly (surprisingly) asking me me I enjoyed the exhibit. Although it lasted about a minute, it was an experience I'll never forget!

Ok, so enough blabbing! I decided to wear my cheetah print wedges which has been stuck to my feet ever since I got it! Along with a thrifted red blazer, black jeans and a white top to give the outfit some contrast. I also decided to experiment with my hairstyle by doing a side, french braid. Summer Sunshine

What I'm Wearing: Yellow ruffle dress from H&M, black and white polka dot wedges from Charlotte Russe and gold earrings from Forever21
I love summer, especially the bright colors you can get away with wearing! The weather, activities, and cute clothes are all elements in summer that everyone loves. However, what I love most of all about summer is road trips! Yesterday, my brother, BF and two of my cousins decided to drive up to Rochester to hang out. We had tons of fun from shopping, swimming and eating! I decided to wear this yellow ruffle dress I got from H&M (on sale of course for $10!). Since it was my first time wearing it, I was so excited! I think it's one of those perfect, casual summer dresses (even though a lady at a rest stop asked me if I was attending a wedding ;p).

Flowers and Lace

What I'm Wearing: Lace crop top and chiffon floral skirt from H&M, gladiator sandals from Charlotte Russe and earrings from Forever21. 

I had a very productive day today! I went swimming in the morning, then decided to run some errands. I need a new memory stick for my camera, so I decided to go to Walmart to pick one up. I also received a 20% off coupon from Ulta, so I decided to get the Urban Decay All Nighter since I heard so many great things about it! I'll let you guys know if it's really as good as everyone says it is.  I decided to wear this chiffon maxi skirt with a cropped lace top. I love how the skirt flows, and how the top drapes. This outfit is definitely one of my most comfortable ones yet!

Hot Pink Blazer

What I'm Wearing: Thrifted hot pink blazer, white T-Shirt from TJ Maxx, jeans, belt and earrings from Forever21, polka dot wedges from Charlotte Russe and gold watch from Michael Kors.

Yesterday was so hot in NYC! I don't know what possessed me to wear a blazer, but I did and I loved it! I got this blazer at a thrift store couple of months ago. It's really oversized, but I decided that I could make it work with a belt cinched at my waist. I love the color and the pockets on the blazer. I decided to pair the outfit with retro earrings and polka dot wedges.

Summer Blush

What I'm Wearing: White pants and blush blouse from H&M, nude flats from Khols, black vintage bag, earring from Forever21 and gold watch from Michael Kors.

I went out on Saturday with a bunch of people for my BF's Bday. We had lots of fun! We went to dinner, went bowling, than watched a movie. Horrible Bosses is a must see, it is HILARIOUS! I decided to wear some pieces I got from my H&M sale shopping spree. I paired the white pants with the blush top. I love putting together neutral outfits. I added in these nude flats, which was a steal as well. (I think I got them for $6 at Khols). Altogether my outfit was probably around $20! I love the fact that you can shop on a budget and still look expensive! I would love to see your budget friendly outfits. Leave a link in the comment section below!

Neon Stripes

What I'm Wearing: Black Forever21 shirt, color blocked H&M skirt, black Forever21 shoes, black vintage bag, gold Forever21 earrings, necklace from Charlotte Russe and gold Michael Kors watch.

Yesterday was my BF's Birthday. I made dinner reservations at a Thai restaurant in the city. If your in the the NYC area, you should definitely check it out! It's called Talent Thai and its on 34th st. and 3rd ave. The food was great, service was quick and the interior atmosphere was relaxing and well decorated! After dinner, we got gelato and went to the movies. We ended up seeing Transformers 3, it was ok but I wasn't really into it.

BTW, H&M is having some really good deals right now. I think they just marked down their sale items. I got a whole bunch of stuff for $7 each! The skirt I'm wearing in this post is from H&M as well, it's apart of their new color blocking collection, I think I paid around $10 for it! So if your in a bargain shopping mood, deff check out your local H&M!

I also decided to post some pics of the man behind my photos! He doesn't dress up this often so I had to snap some pics of this scarce occasion!

Hey Guys, sorry for my absence. I had a family tragedy this weekend. I did take these pics out the other day and thought I'd post it today so I won't go another week without posting at all. I made the feather earrings myself! I'm contemplating whether to do a video tutorial or just a post DIY on how to make them. Let me know which one would be  better!
