DIY Floral Headband

On Tuesday I posted a look wearing a floral headband. Since the headband was so easy to make, I decided to make a tutorial on how to make one! Festival season is in full effect, so why not attempt this easy DIY tutorial? I would love to see pictures of your recreations. Post your own DIY headband on instagram and hashtag #diyfashionista. I look forward to seeing your floral headbands. Good Luck!

What you Need:
Faux Flowers-Michaels
Gold Leather Cord-Michaels
Glue Gun
Scissors

Step 1: Pick off flowers from stem. *Remember to keep green part of flowers in tack for now so they won't fall apart.
Steps 2: Measure cord around your head to determine desire length. Make sure to leave enough length of the string so the ends of the cord hangs.
Step 3: Cut the sting evenly. Now separate the flowers in the pattern you desire. I decided to alternate between white and coral.
Step 4: Remove the green part of the flower, but make sure you hold the cloth part of the flower together with the bulb so they don't fall apart. Make sure you cut off a piece of the plastic bulb. This will allow the flower to lay flat when you glue it on to the headband.
Step 5: Measure the cord around your head and tie a knot. This will allow you to glue the precise amount of flowers needed to cover your entire headband. Hot glue the plastic part of the flower. *Be careful, you can easily burn yourself.
Step 5: Place the flowers around the headband about a inch apart in the desired pattern of your choice.

And your done!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Don't forget to post your recreations on instagram with #diyfashionista!
